At Yakima, we believe that everyone has a right to Take It Easy and enjoy the great outdoors. That’s why we have committed to reducing our global environmental footprint and fighting the global climate crisis.

1.Reduce reliance on air freight.
By and large, transporting products via air freight has a significant impact on our carbon footprint. By reducing our air freight mileage, we produce a dramatically smaller carbon footprint.
2.Increased use of renewable energy.
In 2019, we successfully transitioned our global headquarters in Lake Oswego, Oregon to 100% wind power through PGE Wind Blocks.
3.Increased use of sustainable materials.
We are committed to designing products using low-carbon materials, as well as recyclable packaging and packaging materials.
4.Reduce waste and increase recycling.
We are committed to recycling and reducing waste both at our Headquarters and manufacturing facilities.
5.Develop products that last a lifetime.

6.Reduce corporate travel/commuting.
The Yakima global headquarters has moved to a hybrid work environment to help reduce company commuting, as well as strategically looking at required company travel to help reduce our travel/commuting footprint.
