When I bought my new pickup truck I had to decide on the best and most cost effective rack to use on the bed of my truck that would allow me the full use of the truck bed. On my previous pickup truck I had a Truck Top dealer install cargo rails on the top of my bed rails that allowed easy adjustments of the rack to accommodate different racks (bike, skis,snowboard...). It also allowed for quick and easy removal of the rack when I did n't want it on my truck. Unfortunately my new truck has bed lighting and the rails weren't as easy to access underneath so it eliminated this option. That left me with the option of the BEDROCK. This rack does the job but it is no where near as convenient. It is a hassle to take on and off. Another downside (due to design of vehicle as well as the rack) is that the BEDROCK FEET can be difficult to get on and off. These go under the bed rails and just so happen to be located, for best use of my rack, right next to holes that the vehicle manufacturer has on the upper wall just under the bed rails. While trying to take the rack off to install my fifth wheel hitch one of the feet fell in one of the holes. Would have liked to try to use a magnet to get it out BUT THEY AREN'T MAGNETIC.
